The idea of boycotting goods and services from El Salvador is good but can be made better by making it clear to their government the reason. Write or call their embassy. This has the added advantage of causing them a little additional economic hurt because they must expend man-hours reading or answering the phone (as many readers may be aware, a letter writing campaign to a TV network prevented the cancellation of the show “Star Trek”-- largely because it was becoming cheaper to produce the show than read all of the letters).

It may also be helpful to make our feeling known to merchants whose businesses carry products fro El Salvador. Their president may take notice if major retailers begin contacting him.
