The United States was founded on the principles that all men had certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. These words rang hollow for centuries, yet no one can deny that the United States once had the largest democracy on earth. However 249 years since said declaration was made, we once again are ruled by a tyrant. Once again we find it necessary to fight against a threat foreign and domestic, this time in our nation's capital. The American people have never bowed to a king, will never bow to a king, and will never accept the erosion of our Republic's values. Donald Trump may think himself to be a Roman Emperor, if so we will simply throw his policies, then his party, then his legacy into the Tiber where it belongs. He wishes to isolate this nation because he thinks it will be easier for him to rule it, just as the USSR did. He wishes to make this country undesirable to the world so we are forced to back his reign of terror, he once again underestimates the American people, the American resolve, and the tides of history. We will beat him, we will beat back his illegal policies, and we will banish him to the doldrums of history where he belongs.
Despite Trump's illegal cuts to USAID and other us backed foreign aid we will continue to fight against him. "The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing" We will not do nothing, we will fight back until we win or we die. I’m betting we will win. The American hornets nest has just begun to awaken. We will defend democracy or die trying, because that is what we have always done. Defeat in 2024 does not mean the end of America, it just means the fight will be that much more enriching when we finally vanquish it for good.
