When the US follows “the science”, it is at its greatest. Stop fucking with it.
I don’t care for the media narrative that Trump is following feelings from his colossal gut, no matter how bad the IBS. [irritable bowel syndrome]. Project 2025 is the playbook.
Project 2025 states that NOAA and other scientific institutions are “vulnerable to obstructionism” unless they are in lockstep with Presidential Policy.
Ensure Appointees Agree with Administration Aims. Scientific agencies
like NOAA are vulnerable to obstructionism of an Administration’s aims if political appointees are not wholly in sync with Administration policy. Particular attention must be paid to appointments in this area.
Project 2025: Page 677 — Link
Pages 674 to 677 were in the section written by Max Primorac under the chapter title 9 AGENCY FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT, which is anything but [pages 254-281] international as far as scientific development is concerned. If you can follow the pseudo-intellectual claptrap, gobbledegook, and downright malarky, you can understand why DOGE is a fraud. DOGE was never about reducing costs but about imposing Project 2025’s conditions.
Hence we get
Trump’s NOAA Has Downplayed an Alarming Finding: CO₂ Surged Last Year — Scientific American.
Under the Trump administration, NOAA has minimized an announcement that climate-warming carbon dioxide concentrations in the atmosphere grew at a record-breaking speed in 2024.
CLIMATEWIRE | Climate-warming carbon dioxide concentrations in the atmosphere grew at a record-breaking speed in 2024, surging by 3.7 parts per million, a recent NOAA data analysis has found.
It’s one of the agency’s biggest scientific findings of the year — yet the research largely has flown under the radar after NOAA officials took steps to minimize the announcement.
Instead of publishing a press release or a featured article online, the agency described the findings only in social media posts on Facebook and on X. And the posts failed to highlight the dataset’s most important finding: that last year’s CO₂ concentrations jumped by an unprecedented amount.
This may be after only 100 days of Trump’s second term, but after at least a decade of conniving.
Science thrives upon international collaboration and co-operation.
and
Not those who distort the findings and betray the taxpayer and the science. [oil companies]
For example
Shell and Exxon's secret 1980s climate change warnings- The Guardian
In the 1980s, oil companies like Exxon and Shell carried out internal assessments of the carbon dioxide released by fossil fuels, and forecast the planetary consequences of these emissions. In 1982, for example, Exxon predicted that by about 2060, CO2 levels would reach around 560 parts per million – double the preindustrial level – and that this would push the planet’s average temperatures up by about 2°C over then-current levels (and even more compared to pre-industrial levels).
The dangers of screwing with the data or deliberately misinterpretting it and then hiding the findings, could be alarming/devastating.
There are no shortcuts. Handing control of the science to the for-profit corporations is a disaster waiting to happen, again.
So MSM/Democrats keep ramming Project 2025 home. Trump is merely following the plot; he has not had one credible original idea, only grift.
