The Trump administration has not given up in their attacks on Leticia James over her real estate transactions.
The Department of Justice is investigating after James was referred to them by the Federal Housing Finance Agency headed by Trump appointee William Pulte.
This should be a dead subject. Case closed. Her lawyer, Abbe Lowell showed everybody the receipts detailed in "Everybody who thought Leticia James lied on real estate documents is wrong."
Trump first doxxed James back in October of 2023.
Trump's latest doxx was on March 21, when he reposted a title and link to an article at whitecollarfraud.com. The gag order on Trump by Judge Engoron didn't cover the NY AG or the judge himself. He might want to reconsider. He could also review the case and decide Trump can easily pay more with his bribed access and cryptocurrency schemes since taking office. The case must be being appealed, but I can't find any news about it since December of last year when James said she was going to go and collect.
James and Lowell have put out the documentation online that anyone can read and see she immediately fixed the errors as soon as she saw the paperwork. There is no case. Right now it's a DOJ "investigation." If the DOJ files a suit, Lowell will hit back with it being a SLAPP lawsuit. Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation. James will be awarded legal costs and punitive damages.
That's not the point. It's intimidation. There is either law enforcement or MAGA idiots, or both following her around. They could get hit with stalking lawsuits if caught.
On May 3rd, at a rally with Al Sharpton, James said, "They got individuals coming to my house, standing outside my house. Last Sunday --- church Sunday while I was in church --- these individuals were in front of my house, taking pictures and then streaming it, putting it on social media. This is nothing more than a revenge tour! This is nothing more than vindictiveness! This is nothing more than an individual who is upset at me because we secured a $454 million judgment against him and his family and his company!"
The White House and the Department of Justice declined to comment on James' remarks.
Her lawyer, Abbe Lowell called the need for a DOJ investigation as "baseless and long discredited. This appears to be the political retribution President Trump threatened to exact that Bondi assured the Senate would not occur on her watch." I hadn't thought of that one. Lying to congress. Perjury.
"If the prosecutors are genuinely interested in the truth, we are prepared to meet false claims with facts."
AG Pam Bondi must now face being Trump's lapdog and opening a case against James, and be accused of perjury, or risking her position, as well as taxpayer dollars, to pursue already disproven allegations easily refuted by facts.
The Washington Post reports that a grand jury in the Eastern District of Virginia sent out subpoenas on the matter. Another waste of time and taxpayers money.
This is going to blow up in Bondi and Trump's faces when additional documents or witnesses come forward. What Lowell already provided on April 24th should have shut this real witch hunt down.
In the meantime, I believe James' story about people at her house and possibly following her. She's had people show up at public events saying she should apologize to Trump, and for wasting taxpayer dollars. Well, when she finally collects that $454 million with additional interest, that's going to return the taxpayer dollars and hundreds of millions more. Demanding an apology is laughable, but MAGA are in that echo chamber that is occupied with misinformation.
The next step is up to the DOJ and that grand jury.
Still another Trump folly, and it will cost Trump in so many ways if they pursue it. Abbe Lowell is a good lawyer, and I expect him to rip their case to shreds, because he already has.

Update:
Trump took to Truth Social to say an accusation is a verdict. I read the article and it's just an old hit piece not worth reading. Trump is desperate not to pay that half a billion dollars.
