My country is the home of the brave
- Law enforcement can break down your down and shoot you
- They can grab you off the streets and deport you
- You can live with a dead fetus inside you
- You can carry a fetus even if you are under 10 years of age
- You can work 3 jobs just to put food on the table
- You can die from lack of health care
- You can enter schools passing through metal detectors
My country is the land of the free
- You can call a toddler the N word and get a million dollars
- You can assault the Capitol and be pardoned
- You can steal from cancer charities and become President
- You can read any book in school, if it’s not banned
- You can buy a gun even if you’re a criminal
- You can lead the country if you’re a convicted felon
My country is a country of Immigrants
- The immigrants that massacred the Natives
- The immigrants that were brought in as slaves
- The immigrants that were put in internment camps
- The immigrants being deported
My country is the shining beacon on the hill
- Shining like a warning to others
- Shining like a flashing neon warning
- Shining with the tears of the Statue of Liberty
- Shining with the tears of Lady Justice
My country is the United States of America
- It is united in racism
- It is united in sexism
- It is united in bigotry
- It is united in hate
