Get off Your Damned Couch and Leave Your Defensive Crouch!

MLK was not afraid. Nor did he make despair a practice. But he sure took a lot of shit from fellow preachers, and sleepy liberals, for trying to bring social and economic justice to America

In typical Daily Kos style-- myriad people would rather play Monday morning quarterback and rate protests against the fascist animals in power—than say, actively encourage people to attend the massive and peaceful national protests on tap for June 14th.

Mind you, I have my own ideas about what it would take to end the Trump regime. Unfortunately, the course of events may dictate what happens next. In other words, the need to control and browbeat activists reacting against unprecedented provocation in L.A., is truly loopy and besides the point. Especially, when there have been SO MANY opportunities to protest peacefully, including this coming Saturday.

As I am working that day,  my wife will be marching in my stead. 

She is a newly minted American citizen and sees this as the existential crisis that it is. She knows who the enemy is, and it ain’t the people defending their communities in California
