I saw an infant snatched from its mother’s arms and his cries haunted my dreams
I saw 2 children separated from their father who wept like a baby
I saw a teenage girl slammed face first on the ground
I saw so many horrific images in the last few weeks that my eyes have run dry
I thought children in cages some years ago was monstrous… this is somehow worse
I don’t know who hides behind those masks, but I guess they’re hiding their faces, so their own children won’t realize they are the monsters snatching people off the streets and ripping babies away from their parents.
Is the pay worth it? Tell me is the fucking pay worth the nightmares? Does it dull the echoes of children’s cries? Do you feel proud when that money lands in your bank account and you remember what you had to do to get paid?
The worst part watching all that? Is the lack of anything resembling human emotions as you carry out your duties, so you can meet your quotas, and get paid… I haven’t seen one of you shudder, cry or flinch at traumatizing children and their parents. Are you even still human at this point?
Tell me, when you hear your children laugh do you think of those others you made cry? When you see them playing do you recall the look on those others as you took them from their parents? When you kiss them goodnight, do you hear the sobs of those you deprived of their children? TELL ME!
You are monsters. Every single last one of you that haven’t quit yet are monsters. Evil, Vile monsters. May the cries of children haunt you every night for the rest of your lives and beyond!
