Good morning, Newdists. Why are the X residents of the R party so freaked out that Zohran Mamdani has a video of eating rice and curry with his hands? Can someone explain that to me? I don’t understand the horror. People do wash their hands before eating. It’s the norm, and eating with one’s hand is practiced in many places. And yes, in those same places, eating with utensils is also practiced. So, I’m at a total loss to understand the horror, other than the obvious —  that they’re performative idiots expressing their stupidity. But then maybe I’m missing some other perspective…?

More and more I think there’s some huge similarities with stages of the Roman Empire. Particularly the 3rd Century Crisis (235-284CE). Also —
