This week will be the second since Renee Good was brutally murdered by Johnathan Ross and there hasn’t been any appreciable anger from the Dems about this tragedy that left her three children motherless. Not even Chuck Schumer or Hakeem Jeffries have verbalized any significant, sustained anger about this heinous crime. When will there be an investigation and when will Ross be brought to justice?
Instead of the Dems acknowledging this tragic killing vociferously and pushing for an immediate explanation of how it could happen in America, what did Chuck Schumer say last week about the issue that Dems should run on in the midterms? He vomited out the same old line in his typcicaly dispassionate and boring voice that affordability is the Dems key to victory. Really, Chuckie? That’s what’s important to Americans in this age of tyranny on the streets of Amerca?
What the Dems need to do is make Renee Good a martyr and the violence being perpetrated by an unaccountable gang of ill-trained marauders the focal points of their campaigns. They need to say loud and clear that no longer will this country descend into facism at the hands of the orange buffoon in the Oval Office before there is no country left for decent citizens to live and vote in, that is, if the megolomaniac squatting in the White House who thinks he’s king of the world doesn’t find a way (e.g., invoking the insurrection act or declaring martial law) to prevent them!
It’s time for righteous indignation from the Dems. It’s time as John Lewis said to “Get in good trouble.” They need to defend the constitution, the rule of law, and the citizens who put them in office. They need to show outrage over Renee Good’s death and what is happening on the streets of this great country that is day by day declining into authoritarianism.
Her death and the rampant ICE thugs invading America are the primary issues that will carry the Dems to victory in November, not a 2% to 10% rise in food costs that may evaporate before the upcoming elections. If that happens, what will all the Dems who ran on it have left to run on?
