It is scientifically agreed that Global Warming should be limited to 1.5℃ in order to prevent much worse damage than we have yet seen. The world has wasted much time in NOT embracing renewable energy. So what should we do now? The IPCC has stated clearly that
In model pathways with no or limited overshoot of 1.5°C, global net anthropogenic CO2 emissions decline by about 45% from 2010 levels by 2030 (40–60% interquartile range), reaching net zero around 2050 (2045–2055 interquartile range).
This is still possible, if we can overcome the various sorts of political resistance and outright denial that plague our global discourse. On the positive side
- At COP30, Saudi Arabia agreed to a statement setting the goal of going off fossil fuels, without using those words.
- A number of countries have determined to create an international agreement to be taken up at COP31, setting this as the global agenda, following the IPCC guidance on how fast to do it.
- $$Real Money$$™ is winning.
- China and India are no longer holdouts, but leaders.
- The 0% club of renewable energy resisting countries lost its last members a while ago.
- Batteries, solar panels, wind turbines, and geothermal drilling are advancing by leaps and bounds.
- We are doing trees, EVs, heat pumps, green industries (hydrogen, ammonia, cement, steel), and much more.
So let’s look at everything, drawing on our various information resources.
US judge allows another offshore wind project to restart
A federal judge on Friday cleared U.S. power company Dominion Energy to resume work on its Virginia offshore wind project, the third legal blow this week to President Donald Trump's anti-offshore wind agenda.
Walker said Interior's stop-work order was too broad to address Dominion's specific project
the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project
is expected to provide enough energy to power 600,000 homes.
"Our team will now focus on safely restarting work to ensure CVOW begins delivery of critical energy in just weeks," the company said

Climate change denial comes in many forms.
As we cross the global warming level of 1.5°C with record high global CO₂ emissions, it's not physically possible to limt global warming at this level.
Some seem to think that 'physically' means 'in fairyland'.

NASA confirms the planet is still breaking heat records, but isn’t allowed to say why. The data survives. The truth is censored. That’s what climate denial looks like in power.

A Different Level of Idiocy
Trump is fixated on rare earth metals in Greenland. But what for? Not wind turbines or EVs, certainly, so then what? And who would process them? Nobody outside China wants that kind of environmental damage, and it is hard to imagine Trump making a deal for China to process US rare earths from Greenland.
If you aren’t confused, you aren’t paying attention.
Geek proverb
Nothing, of course, confuses Trump. Certainly not facts.
