I just changed the title to include the victim’s name: Alex Jeffrey Pretti. RIP Mr. Pretti. We won’t rest until the people who murdered you and Renee Nicole Good face justice, and these people are stopped from doing this to others.
The Star Tribune has this so far:
A large presence of federal immigration agents is at 26th Street and Nicollet Avenue where witnesses say a man was shot this morning.
Scanner reports indicate a man was shot several times in the chest and has been taken to the hospital.
Minneapolis Police Department officers are also on the scene there keeping more than 100 observers and protesters separated from the agents.
An ambulance has left after CPR was seen being performed on the man.
For God’s sake.
UPDATE: The video is embedded now in the Star Tribune story. They were pistol whipping the man and it’s seems like the gun went off. Then they back up, and one unloads his gun into the guy as he’s laying helpless on the ground. A fucking execution.

The man shot by federal agents this morning has died, Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara told the Minnesota Star Tribune.
Several witnesses have already been transported to the Whipple building. ICE attempted to order local police from the scene, but O’Hara refused, sources said.
O’Hara instructed his officers to preserve the scene. The BCA was enroute to the scene.
All available MPD officers have been called into work, except dogwatch (overnight shift), and days off cancelled.
3rd UPDATE: And the cover-up and excuse making begins:
The Department of Homeland Security said federal agents were conducting a "targeted operation" in Minneapolis at 9:05 a.m. Saturday looking for "an illegal alien wanted for violent assault."
"An individual approached U.S. Border Patrol officers with a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun," the agency said in a statement. "The officers attempted to disarm the suspect but the armed suspect violently resisted."
"Fearing for his life and the lives and safety of fellow officers, an agent fired defensive shots," the department's statement continued. "Medics on scene immediately delivered medical aid to the subject but was pronounced dead at the scene."
DHS said the man had two magazines and "no ID" and that more information would be coming.
Yep, I’m sure he “approached” them (by walking down the street minding his own business, when they grabbed him and started pushing him around). And the “suspect violently resisted” (by getting in the way of their fists, and stumbling as they pushed him to the ground). “An agent fired defensive shots” too (backing up from the man lying prone on the ground and motionless, taking careful aim, and pumping five bullets into him).
Fuck them. Fuck them all, all to hell and back.
UNFORTUNATELY — it appears to be getting out of control at the scene. Dumpsters have been set on fire and pulled into the street. But, things will get out of control when you have morons sitting on a powder keg and striking matches on it.
IT’S QUIETING DOWN: Thank god. The Star Tribune says:
Dozens of federal agents climbed into unmarked vehicles and have departed the scene of this morning's fatal shooting in south Minneapolis.
With federal agents gone, the scene has grown suddenly quiet.
Agents hanging from the doors of a moving car threw several canisters of chemical irritants as they drove the wrong way down a one-way street.
Protesters were seen throwing snowballs.
State troopers also fired a chemical irritant to push protesters back from an intersection.
They just had to make one last try before they bravely took to their feet. On the other hand, their leaving was the best thing that happened there today.
