These are the richest people in America. While some are lauded, others are reviled. Yet, they are all a symptom of the rampant capitalism that is bent on destroying this country. Trump is not the problem, he is simply the pus-filled cyst of a symptom. The oligarchy behind the scenes makes all the *real* decisions for this country and the world.
Until and unless we can have the fortitude to address a culture that lets billionaires exist, much less laud them, we will never see real change. These people, and more like them, have entirely undeserved influence on the world. As a consequence, you, the American voter, think you have a chance to influence things when in fact you are just voting for a party that has this billionaires, or a party that has that billionaires.
The one thing all billionaires seem to agree on is that they don’t have enough money. So, they want to make more. In doing so, they could care less about the average working person. It’s not a question of whether they can create jobs, it’s a question of, “How do we make these people work harder without paying them more?”, or, more often, “Can we replace these troublesome employees with AI? That way I won’t have to pay them and can afford that new jet that will get me to Epstein’s island (or New Mexico ranch) faster?”
Billionaires don’t care about people. They care about money, to an extreme that it is a fetish. What we, as the “average citizens” of what used to be a democracy should care about, is not Trump and his buffoonish, idiotic actions, but the billionaires behind pulling the strings.
