Good morning, beloved Newdists. Welcome to da Saturday Cafe.
Even though things are crap, out there, I hope you all are feeling rested. We are supposed to get a whole lotta rain on Sunday, and things are gonna melt quick like. Hoping for no floods. How’s things with your region?
Were you keeping up with the monks walking from Tex to Wash DC? They had a four legged devoted companion too. Aloka.
They came to Richmond, Va. I was not able to make it there to see them. And that hurt.
Aloka, the Peace Dog. He seemed to be doing well after his leg surgery.
I know I said I’d do a written one this time. Apologies.

The whole sky just exploded in green here in Reykjavík. It was so bright, I didn't even need my flashlight to walk out to my neighborhood beach. It's rare when we get these whole sky engulfing shows.
This season has been something else.

Burnished-buff Tanager.
The burnished-buff tanager (Stilpnia cayana), also known as the rufous-crowned tanager, is a common South American species of bird in the family Thraupidae.
It is found in the northern Guianas, most of Venezuela, and east-central Colombia.
