Lake Zurich High School officials have been quiet, releasing no information about an incident that occurred during a student ICE protest last Thursday.
Danny Spud, budding teenage RW social media troll, posted a video of himself counter-protesting and holding a sign — “I LOVE ICE”, all shot on his fancy Ray-Ban Meta Smart glasses. There are some brief exchanges as he walks down the hall, then a student in a brown hoodie (still unnamed) approaches him, and responding to Spud’s rhetoric, the following exchange happens -
US “Yeah, I’m going to punch you in the face.”
Spud: “You’re going to punch me?”
US: “Yes.”
Spud: “Then you’re going to get in trouble for that.”
US: “Okay,” and immediately punches Spud.
The cops are called, Spud grovels and proclaims his rights to peacefully protest, when the Unnamed Student tells him that he can go peacefully f*ck himself.
Spud posted the footage shortly thereafter, and as he no doubt wished, it went viral on social media. The above photo, a still from the video taken the moment after “Okay”, is being admired as historically significant, and is the new meme for an American hero punching a nazi. Not the sort of attention Spud was hoping for. The Unnamed Student? He’ll have college tuition covered and then some if his details ever get out.
