The Guardian is reporting that the covered-up whistleblower complaint is regarding an unusual phone call between foreign intelligence about a Trump compatriot, but Tulsi Gabbard inappropriately prevented this call from circulating.
Last spring, the National Security Agency (NSA) flagged an unusual phone call between two members of foreign intelligence, who discussed a person close to Donald Trump, according to a whistleblower’s attorney who was briefed on details of the call.
But rather than allowing NSA officials to distribute the information further, Gabbard took a paper copy of the intelligence directly to the president’s chief of staff, Susie Wiles, according to the whistleblower’s attorney, Andrew Bakaj.
One day after meeting Wiles, Gabbard told the NSA not to publish the intelligence report. Instead, she instructed NSA officials to transmit the highly classified details directly to her office, Bakaj said.
So Tulsi Gabbard went to Susan Wiles and together they decided whatever this phone call was about should not be shared amongst White House officials who would normally receive this information. So we know Gabbard didn’t act alone in this matter. If this information was bad for Gabbard, then I’m not clear why she would have shared it with Wiles unless Wiles was known by Gabbard to be safe. I don’t know all that much about Susan Wiles and if she has any Russian connections or not. If you know of any, please share.
The Guardian states “The person close to Trump is not understood to be an administration official or a special gov employee, according to a person familiar with the matter.” Is Gabbard protecting this person from Trump’s wrath? Witkiff is a special envoy and would fall under the above categories. Kuschner is not currently an official or employee, but I would think he would be described differently. Or maybe it was careful parsing of words.
Regardless, this indicates a serious breach in security. If the call was merely embarrassing I don’t think the whistleblower would risk themselves for a tabloid headline. This suggests someone close to Trump is compromised in a manner known to Gabbard and Wiles, which they are okay with, but would be bad for Gabbard and Wiles (or Trump if they are covering for him) if the rest of the White House higher ups knew about this. Considering just how corrupt this White House is known to be, what in the world would be a big enough shock to the likes of Rubio, Miller, and the others that Gabbard would prevent them knowing about and Wiles would agree?
