U.S. military plane crashes in Iraq as status of crew is unknown, officials said
An American military aerial refueling tanker that was involved in the U.S. military operation in Iran crashed in western Iraq on Thursday, according to multiple U.S. officials who spoke to CBS News.
Recovery efforts are underway in the area where a Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker crashed. The status of the crew is unknown at this time. A second Stratotanker was damaged but landed safely.
The first plane went down near Turaibil, which is along the Iraqi-Jordanian border, an Iraqi intelligence source told CBS News.
According to flight tracking service FlightRadar24, a KC-135 tanker declared an emergency before landing in Tel Aviv Thursday evening.
U.S. Central Command released a statement Thursday afternoon saying both aircraft were involved in the same incident, and it was not caused by hostile fire or friendly fire.

‘I took two bites and had to spit it out’: candy makers are phasing out real cocoa in chocolate
Just before Valentine’s Day, Brad Reese bought a bag of Reese’s Unwrapped Peanut Butter Creme Mini Hearts from his local convenience store in West Palm Beach, Florida. It was a brand-new product, released especially for the holiday, tagline: “We’ll never break your heart.”
Reese is a Reese’s aficionado who makes a point of trying everything the company produces. This isn’t a coincidence: he’s one of the Reeses, a grandson of HB Reese, the former Hershey dairy farmer who invented the peanut butter cup in 1928. Although he’s never worked for Reese’s or Hershey, which acquired the peanut butter cup company in 1963, Reese considers himself a custodian of HB’s legacy. He also takes an avid interest in the Hershey company and its leadership.
The Unwrapped Peanut Butter Creme Mini Hearts proved to be a disappointment. “I took two bites and I had to spit it out,” Reese says. “I’ve never had that happen to me, ever, in the 70 years of my life. There was no taste. It was inedible.”

Free speech case puts first graders’ rights in spotlight
The free speech rights of first graders are at the center of an ongoing legal fight in California.
In a March 10 opinion, a panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals threw out a lower court's previous ruling in favor of a school district accused of violating a student's First Amendment rights by punishing her for a Black Lives Matter drawing. The decision sends the case back down to the district court for further legal proceedings.
A White student at Viejo Elementary School in Mission Viejo, California, identified only as B.B. in court documents, gave the drawing to an African American classmate, identified as M.C., after a class reading about the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. in 2021, the court said in its opinion.
B.B. “felt bad” that “black people ... were put in a worse position,” the opinion said. The drawing depicted “all her friends holding hands” along with the words “Black Lives Mater (sic) any life.”
The above story can be repeated in so many cases! An ignorant parent hears their child come home from school and talking about how they learned plastic bags are bad! So many examples of this shit can be found & what it did to this country!
The Dumbing Down of America!!! I hope i read it right! The court stood up for the Child that wrote Black Lives Matter!!
