For my day to day I read from several platforms or individuals on those platforms. There are many recently retired military personnel who can give you deep insight. Now, by deep insight, I’m not talking about what rambles around in the heads of Hegsbreath and Trump.
I have access to a recently retired US Army Lt. General (because he lives two houses down.) I try to not abuse the General’s proximity, but most of our conversations are very enlightening. I can say he laid out that the military had war gamed war with Iran and pretty much laid out what we’re seeing. His comments have been borne out by a recently released National Intelligence Committee’s (NIC) report on Iran.
I will not name my neighbor or his commands or how long he’s been retired or any other information that could lead to easily doxxing him, this administration has shone it will retaliate. There are many other retired generals who have chosen to put themselves out in the public.
I will tell you one of his deep concerns is that the Trump Administration has weakened our positions in other parts of the world, and drawn down military assets that have exposed and left some of our key allies. Among his concern is China in regards to Taiwan. We have moved assets that have made it almost impossible to respond quickly to China if China decides to move in on Taiwan. There was even an announcement of moving assets from South Korea.
