Pretty pic of a deer. — Sunshine, mist, green grass and a beautiful deer! What's not to love?

It’s tough out there, but we’re not letting up. So in the midst of it all, we must enjoy and take care of ourselves and others as much as we can. As I really enjoy so many of the images in the dkos image gallery, I thought I would share some of these with you fine folks.

Carla loves painting "en plein air", but is equally at home in her studio.

She mostly paint with professional acrylics on stretched canvas, and works with both palette knife and brush.

She has won numerous international awards, and is a regular participant in top tier "plein air" events across the USA. Carla is represented by leading art galleries in South Africa, the UK, France, and the USA, where she now resides.

Jordan Casteel’s intimate portraits situate her sitters—exclusively people of color—in vibrant, lively environments that range from bustling Harlem street corners and windswept plazas to quiet living rooms and cluttered childhood bedrooms. The Denver-born, New York–based artist often paints from photographs she takes on the street, which grants her work a dimension of authenticity and documentary candor. Casteel graduated with an MFA in painting and printmaking from Yale in 2014. She has shown at galleries in New Haven, New York, Cape Town, and beyond. Casteel has also been the subject of two solo institutional shows, at the Denver Art Museum and New York’s New Museum.
