8 Dems Who Might Betray Us on SS

Josh Marshall had a post this morning about Lindsay Graham's "working group" on Social Security "reform"

He informs us that the following Democrats are active participants in the discussions of this working group.

Now Josh is fairly certain that Bill Nelson (Florida) is on our side, given the state he lives in and that he appears to be ready to use the campaign against SS phase out in his re-election bid next year.  Josh also thinks Baucus and Feinstein are fairly safe (although I myself have doubts about Feinstein).  So that leaves us with

as possible quislings.  That cuts our filibuster margin very thin.  These are the people we need to work on, call, harass without mercy.  I do not know if any amount of lobbying Joementum will prevent him from signing onto Lindsey Graham's phase-out proposal.  The more calls he gets from Democrats, the more likely he may be to go the other way (because that base, it's always wrong, you see...).  But that shouldn't stop us from trying to lobby that chump.

Because of this issue, I think it's probably wise to organize some kind of daily (during weekdays) diary where I post these people's contact numbers and anybody who calls the offices can let us know what the staffers have to say to our inquiries.  Given enough calls,maybe we can assemble a picture of the intent of each of these 4.
