Foundation for Individual Rights in Education

Hey...what can anyone tell me about the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education? Does anyone know anything about this organization? (www.thefire.org) Theyre located in Philly.

I discovered them, thought they were all great and liberal, standing up for religious freedom, free speech, and equality. However the more I read about them, i worry that theyre on the other side.

However...it was a positive national review piece (http://www.nationalreview.com/kurtz/kurtz091902.asp) that got me worried.

If you know anything about this organization, for good or bad, please let me know.
