Yesterday the "Values President" showed exactly what that means.
Anything goes, as long as you don't break the law.
He said he would dismiss anyone "Involved" with this leak would be gone, now he has changed his tune.
- Lie to the American People, that's okay, there is no law against it.
- Cheating on your Wife, fine by Mr. Bush, it's not against the law.
- Your 10 year old telling you to go "F*ck Yourself", no law was broken.
This is the America that Bush wants, this is the America the Republicans want. I do not want that America. I want an America that has values, that allows us to teach our children what is right and what is wrong, not based on the law, but based on respect for elders, chivalry, and basic manners.
How can this administration, and the Republicans as a whole stand in front of children and tell them not to have sex, that is a value, but not against the law. How can you speak of the culture of life, when most of your words are based on values, not laws.
The America I use to live in, if you had a beef with another man, you did NOT attack his wife, which is what cowards did. One of the worst things you could do was speak ill of someone's mother, but according to Bush, that is okay, because it is not against the law. Bush wants to revert this nation into a Banana Republic, a nation of corruption within the law.
What a sad day in American History... Our Values President has raced to the bottom, to protect a cronies, next time you hear a Republican speak of Values, tell them to go F*ck themselves, it is not against the law...
Democrats, I am sure that there are some taking points in this, somewhere...
