That left-wing media is at it again. Kerry anounces he is supporting a filibuster, so does CNN ask whether or not he should support a filibuster? Do they ask if Alito should be filibustered? Do they ask if other Democrats will join Kerry? No, they have the audacity to ask this -- not so subtly implying that Kerry doesn't really believe in what he's doing. It is unbelievable and the Right would never suffer such treatment.

The Schiavo fiasco was one of the most blatant political stunts pulled by the Right since Bush landed on an aircraft carrier to proclaim "Mission Accomplished." Yet a look over the cnn polls during the time...(on the flip)
that the Republicans were sticking their nose in a family matter, shows no poll questions challenging the motives of those lawmakers who played
tape-recorder-Doctor.
Instead the questions were more like this:
- Who would you want to make the decision about pulling the plug if you were in a vegetative state? March 21
- Do you believe Terri Schiavo is suffering? March 25
- Do you think Burger King's 'enormous' breakfast sandwich will be a big seller? March 28
- Did Terri Schiavo's final days change the way you view life and death? March 31
What, no, "Are Republican's trying to appeal to their base by getting involved in the Schiavo matter?" "Why did
Bill Frist falsely diagnose Terri Schiavo based on a videotape? -Politics or Conviction?" Of course, we will never see this. As
Digby points out, the Republican talking points have become common knowledge: Dems are weak on security (nevermind that
Bush ignored warning of 911); Dems are inept at governing (nevermind the
billions of tax dollars that vanished in Iraq); Dems are purely political opportunists (nevermind the Schiavo affair).
