India and Nukes-- the next Port Crisis?

So, W wants to share nuclear technology with India? Well, I can't say I have anything much against India; they are a lareg interesting, not particularly dysfunctional democracy. I like them way better than China.

I have generally a dim view of nuclear fission as a power source, due to waste disposal issues and such, but one could od a whole diary on that subjct alone.

What disturbs me is this: how can we deal with them on Nukes if they haven't signed the NPT? Is this how we keep global WMD's in check?
