I had an argument last night with a good friend about why we all have to support John Kerry. It's not that I don't realize how awful Bush is, he is the reason I got involved in politics for the first time 9 months ago, not Dean. My problem with Kerry is that the lessor of two evils is still evil, and this is especially true this time.
Here is a guy that has seen how awful war is first hand, especially wars entered into on false pretext. Even so, he sent our young men and women of to fight, kill, and die in a bogus war for political gain. Kerry has the blood of our service people and who knows how many innocent Iraqis on his hands, and I am supposed to ignore that and vote for him?
This is a cold calculating type of evil that I find especially chilling. Our leaders are supposed to be watching out for the best interests of the people they represent. Sending them of to be scarred for life or to die for political gain is a shocking breach of that trust. It reminds me of the man who poisioned his children's holloween candy for the insurance money - this is breathtaking evil. There are not enough clothepins in the world to block out the stench of death that this man carries with him.
