Bush Proposes 9% Increase In Domestic Security Spending

Seizing on an issue that will be critical to his re-election campaign, President Bush will propose boosting domestic security spending by approximately 9 percent in his fiscal 2005 budget, congressional sources said on Monday.

As usual, no talk about how we're gonna afford to pay for the increase.

Or how we're gonna pay for a longer stay in Iraq.

Or how we're gonna pay for a trip to Mars.

Or how we're gonna pay for any of the other numerous proposed projects.

But do not worry, ladies and gentlemen.  The cart is not ahead of the horse.  There is no horse.  The horse was taken out back and shot a long time ago.
