I think that Dean is Goldwater or Reagan.
It took a long time for that message to strangle the GOP.
It will take a long time for our message to take over ours.
So, I pulled aside a Clarkie today and promised that I would be out there again in a few years for someone with the same tactics. Clean money from little people as much as possible. Progressive ideas.
Long view. We're not going away. We are over-represented among the young Democrats. We will inherit this party sooner or later. All we have to do is wait and keep fighting.
Kerry is a placeholder. He will serve to preserve the Republic. Make no mistake, he will be vital in this regard. But he won't change much.
Kerry may yet be a great President.
But Dean or his heir will be a revolutionary for the Party, and will give rise to a great President for sure.
I'm an optimist.

So said the other Deaniac with me.
But I'm still young, and I don't plan on moving. I am taking back this country. This year. Next year. 2008.
Don't like that prospect? Keep your supporters awake at the switch. But TV's authority is waning. The young don't like the old guard so much. Can you really rely on your supporters for 10, 20 years? No, you can't.
I can.
