As a former Dean supporter I still thought Kerry couldn't be trusted on Iraq, but text from an article in today's Los Angeles Times gives me more reason to like him:
Kerry has often been accused of shifting positions and splitting hairs on the war. But on one point the senator has never wavered: that the key to long-term stability in Iraq -- and more financial and military support from other nations -- is to transfer authority for designing a new government from the United States to the United Nations.
I wrote a letter to the editor of my local paper yesterday on this very subject--Bush's insistence on U.S. control--and I'm glad at least one news outlet is highlighting the fact Kerry has stayed consistent on at least this one position, one which I feel is the most important when it comes to solving the situtation in Iraq.
