Well thank goodness that Starbucks prevailed in its copyright infringement action in China against that coffee chain that threatened the corporate behemoth's very existence!

I'm not necessarily challenging the legality of the ruling, but this is what interests me the most:
The court ruled Saturday that Starbucks, named after the character in the classic 19th century American novel Moby Dick, was entitled to use the name in English and Chinese, as well as have sole use to the design of its logo.
Did they pay Moby and his family any money when they used the Starbucks name in the first place? Because that's where Moby gets his name from. Honest. I think his grandfather wrote the book in the first place.
