Tampa Kossacks show us what democracy looks like

Yesterday was a great day for grassroots politics in Tampa.  Francine (bobnbob) and Megan (thefos) hosted a house party for gubernatorial candidate Rod Smith, and the turnout was amazing!  Close to 150 people showed up on a blistering hot holiday (record-setting 96 degrees) to participate in the grassroots event.  Also present were Congressional candidates Phyllis Busansky (FL-9) and James Reed (FL-12), State Senate candidates Charlie Justice and Stephen Gorham, State House candidate Daniel Suarez, and County Commission candidates Mary Mulhern and Joe Redner. (Sorry if I'm missing anyone)

Folks, a new day is not only coming, it's here.  When DFA held candidate forums in Tampa, turnout was not good.  Francine and Megan decided to take a different route.  If the people won't go to the candidates, then bring the candidates to the people...And it worked!

You have to read the whole thing to see how these two surburban housewives are using their power to take our country back, neighbor by neighbor.  I am so proud to work with them in DFA and in our local Democratic Party.  They are an inspiration!
