We have all had a good laugh at Dick"last throes" Cheney and his apparent incompetence in recognizing the reality of the situation on the ground in Iraq.
And I am sure that you saw this in the NYT where Bush stated: "They figure if they can shake our will and affect public opinion, then politicians will give up on the mission," he said. "I'm not giving up on the mission. We're doing the right thing, which is to set the foundation for peace and freedom."(By DAVID E. SANGER
Published: June 25, 2005)Well, its a good thing that he's not giving up. Wait... He's not even in danger!
And the Secretary of the Pentagon Office of Human Sacrfice himself, Don Rumsfeld was quoted as saying:...
:"Any who say that we've lost this war, or that we're losing this war, are wrong - we are not," Mr. Rumsfeld said in the morning session.
He added that consideration of troop reductions in Iraq, as some Democrats have called for, would "throw a lifeline to terrorists, who in recent months have suffered significant losses and casualties, been denied havens and suffered weakened popular support."(By DAVID S. CLOUD and ERIC SCHMITT Published: June 24, 2005)
Hey, wait a minute. Doesn't it seem like they are saying "We will continue to send our young people to die, for our lies and graft, just so we don't give the enemy a lifeline.
Let's see....Hmmmm..... Iraq, 25 million people. 5 million in Baghdad alone. Hmmm.... Iraq, surrounded by, let's see, Syria, Iran, Jordan, Saudi Arabia (those boys sure can fly planes!), Yemen.....
We have 135,000 boots on the ground against Millions!!! Hmmmm.... And Bush isn't going to give up?!?
It is amazing how these people have the nerve to try to make Americans feel guilty and unpatriotic by not supporting a fiasco by giving their lives so that BushCo doesn't look any more incompetent than they already look.
Don't fall for it folks. We don't have to worry about others on our planet looking at us sideways. the rest of the world knows who got us into this mess. Not the people of the US but it was out "selected leaders".
