A Democratic Party Mission Statement that will win

The Democratic Party is the party of progress. We believe in strengthening our defenses, strengthening our alliances, and strengthening our middle class. We will implement tax policies that minimize the burden on our middle class, make sure big-business is held accountable for any social misdeeds they may commit, and ensure that our poor continue to have opportunities to pursue the American Dream.  We understand that conservation is crucial to our energy independence for the sake of our national defense and our environment, that all Americans deserve access to affordable health care, that investors' rights must be safeguarded from abuse, and that the role of money must be minimized in our political process.  We are the Democratic Party.
