Wayne Allard (R-CO) asked this morning of Tom Harkin, "why in 2000 did you say that [some Iowa judge] deserved to be given an up-or-down vote on the floor? What has changed?"
Harkin came up and gave Allard a good old-fashioned ass-whuppin'. All kinds of stuff about what has changed is that back in 2000 the Repugs didn't allow the vote, so now we are playing by the same rules. He then quoted from "Finian's Rainbow" about the fools making up the rules as they go along.
