Twenty years ago today, there was a commericial broadcast during the super bowl of a dark future being destroyed by a lone figure who dodged and avoided security teams to free the oppressed. Of course I'm talking about the debute of the Macintosh ad. (gratuitious plug of my favorite computer...)

The add in question

Sure the Mac might have saved us in 1984. Let's just make sure we can handle ourselves in 2004. I might have my views and wishes for the nomination race, and I appologize for any venom I might have spread because of it. But let us not be divided by this contest. After we remove Bush from his throne, then I'm more than willing to have a friendly scuffle with my fellow dems, but let us to make sure this year turns out better than
