As the chorus of demands for President Bush's impeachment escalate, even some Republicans are wondering if this may be the only way Bush can get a fair and impartial hearing.
This morning, Barbra Streisand, Bill Press, and AlJazeera joined those already calling for Bush's Impeachment. But with a Zogy poll showing over 53% of the American public now supporting impeachment if Bush lied to lead us into the Iraq war, some are asking how Bush can ever get a fair trial, and the American people a believable answer, unless our president has the benefit and opportunity to defend himself in an impartial and Non-Partisan Senate Impeacement Trial. "This might be much better than being tried in the press, with a continuous drip-feed of lies damaging him and the party with the death of a thousand cuts for three more years," said one anonymous source.

Last week, Trent Lott, Pat Buchanen, and Richard Viquerie all called for major shakes up in the White House Staff and Cabinet. Although, many have reminded us that Trent Lott may have personal payback in mind, due to his suspicion that Karl Rove played a major behind the scenes role in his demise last year as Senate Majority Leader.
Machevelli advised politicians in scandels,to "get the worst out quickly, let it be reported by deputies, then fire them, and get it behind you as fast as you can."
History shows us that once presidential scandals gain this much momentum, the opposition party will never let go. The cover-up generates more media fuel and outrage than the original sin. So what's the best way the GOP can get back on track? Some insiders think a quick and fair impeachment hearing may be the best way out. While it may look like things are getting "worse before better"
"Our country cannot afford to have President Bush twisting in the wind for another three years, angry left wing blogsite holding 'death by a thousand cuts', kangaroo courts...and bringing down the entire GOP," said one Republican anonymously. He continued, "you don't sink the ship of state, just so the Captain can go down with the Ship." Some strategic advisors believe the party may be better off pre-positioning a strong field in the White House now to be in a better position in 2008.
Already, Condi Rice, Jeb Bush, John McCain, and John Warner have been mentioned as possible replacement V.P. after Dick Cheney's departure. Apparantly, he is discovering additional "health concerns," may require him to step aside to spend more time with his family. "This has absolutely nothing to do with the Fitzgerald investigation," sources say.
Aljazeera, Bill Press, and Barbara Streisand have joined in Republican calls for Impeachment Hearings this morning. With an indication of how Bush's Impeachment calls are playing internationally, Alnazeera choose this morning to lead with the headline
Bush to be impeached soon Aljazeera quotes directly from the Impeach.com website
In violation of his constitutional oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, in violation of his constitutional duty to protect and ensure that laws are executed, the U.S. Presidnet George W. Bush lied to the Congress, the American public and the world about reasons to launch an offensive against Iraq, he exaggerated the threat from the toppled Iraqi leader's alleged Weapons of Mass Destruction.
He lied in the run up to the war and continues to lie to preserve his administration's image, and the result is hundreds of thousands of Iraqis and over 2000 American soldiers lost their lives, stated an editorial on ImpeachBush.tv.
Aren't those actions and other "high crimes and misdemeanors" are grounds for impeachment?
was forced to resign in April 1974.
....
"Bush and the members of his administration argued, day after day, week after week, month after month, that Iraq was in possession of massive stores of mass destruction weapons that would be delivered to Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda for use against the United States," Greg Palast once said, commenting on Bush's 2004 State of the Union speech.
"We have sources that tell us," said George W. Bush on February 8 2003, "that Saddam Hussein recently authorized Iraqi field commanders to use chemical weapons."
Intelligence gathered by this and other governments leaves no doubt," continued Bush on March 17 2003, "that the Iraqi regime continues to possess and conceal some of the most lethal weapons ever devised."
Those weapons were ever found, on the contrary, it's been revealed that Saddam only had the intention to revive Iraq's nuclear program. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis have been killed, the country has been devastated and the Middle East region has been destabilized because President Bush decided to punish a country leader for his INTENTIONS.

And on a different note for tonights Poll, now that V.P. Dick Cheney's resignation looks imminent, whom do you think President Bush will nominate to replace him? Rememeber, as long as President Bush does this before the House votes on his impeachment, the constitution allows him to nominate his replacement subject to Senate confirmation. What if both are impeached at the same time. That will probably have to go to the Supreme Court, where new Cheif Justice John Roberts will have to lead the court in deciding. I can't imagine that Bush and his strategic advisors would allow this.
