The poll done for the Harvard University Institute of Politics found that 61 percent of college students approve of the job done by Bush -- about 10 points higher than the president's approval rating in several recent polls of the general population.
My question: do we really want to encourage 18-21 year olds to vote anymore?
I am so utterly dismayed by the 18-21 group. It seems like they have no concerns for a number of issues threatened by Bush, simply because they have never known it to be different or have any concept what it would be like if Bush gets his way:
- Ending overtime.
- Abortion rights.
- Privatizing social security.
Why are younger people drifting right? What can we do to stop it? Do we really want to rock the vote?
(By the way, I'm 35- so I'm no old fogey here).
