As I watched 'The Daily Show' last night I saw something that made me wonder if I was watching 'Fake News' or the real thing.
I remember laughing along with millions of others at 'Men in Black' as one character picked up supermarket tabloids and remarked that the only real news was in them.
Well, folks, last night I watched a blurb about the dedication of the Clinton Library on 'The Daily Show'. And George WhistleAss Bush gave a speech -- probably as part of his 'charm offensive'. (WhistleAss is at his most offensive to me when he is trying to charm us.)
Bill Clinton asked a question to the effect...
"Am I the only person here who thinks that George W. Bush and John Kerry are men of Good Will and they are trying to do what they think is best for the country?" Nobody answered him that I could make out -- everybody was probably too stunned by cognitive dissonance.
Aaaahhh, that 'spirited, but losing' campaign again.
For me it was one of the rare times that you can see the true face of the greedy corpocrocs (most of the time they stay safely submerged in their slime) that have taken over both the Republicrats and the Democans and run our country now... instead of us.
Clinton/the Bushiter -- same-same. Just two puppets on different claws.
They want all of "us" to unite behind them, for the good of "their" country of course. Remember Washington, DC is awash with our money, only it is being spent 'their' way.
Well, folks, I am pretty throughly radicalized now. I am getting off of "their" bus as they careen towards the cliff.
So...
If they want "your kid" for "their war", DON'T send them. Let the 'Reds' cry for their children, because they don't give a flying shit about yours. But they are starting a campaign now to silence cartoonists -- another terrorist threat we all face every damn day.
If they want you to get busy wasting time in 'their' causes while they sell you out in more backroom deals and present more empty Kabuki theater, don't bother. Go have some fun! Life is too short. Go shop a local farmer's market, eat in a local restaurant (no, stupid, not McDonalds). Buy things that will help somebody you know. Travel, drink some wine, enjoy life.
Don't listen to the 'national leadership' -- find your own leaders. They are all liars, brigands or toadies. Give money to causes you believe in, and stay registered to vote. There will be Howard Deans, Wes Clarks, who will earn your trust -- just not these assclowns.
If they want "your money" to prop up "their economy" don't send it. Buy 'euros' now, while the timing is so right. It will be the best financial move you will make in the next ten years. Don't tell yourself you will do it next month... buy euros even if you only have $50 bucks. It will be $75 bucks in one year.
If they want you to buy "their" stuff, don't do it. Save "your" money so you can buy euros. The 'fire sale' prices are coming, be patient.
I am sick and tired of corporation crocodiles subverting our political and financial system for their benefit. I am sick and tired of being made fun of by the people too damn dumb to understand propaganda when they hear it.
If they want to believe that the Bushiter is the first really 'Christian' President to come to office in the US while the Bushiter flips the bird to Helen Thomas as he announces the nomination of 'torture-memo' Gonzales for AG, I am done wasting my breath on them. They will get what they voted for.
I am sure not getting what I voted for and I don't know that I ever will again.
So the sound of the emergency exit door popping open at the back of the Bushiter's caravan is me jumping. I invite you all to do the same.
