Karen Hughes Invisible diplomat

What has Karen Hughes been up to the past few days????  No comment on the cartoons?  Gee, I guess public diplomacy in the  Middle East just might be HARD WORK. Taking a cue from her boss, her work hours might be tad short. Anyone heard anything official from State Dept. this weekend?

It appears to me that the US is caught betweeen a rock and a hard place on this.  A little schadenfruende (SP?) on the part of few officials and probably a hope that no paper here is running the cartoons.
