Homegrown terror

Throughout most of the 90s we had a few waves our own homegrown AQ types. Tim McVeigh and Eric Rudolph, abortion clinic bombers, etc. More below the surface, there also seemed to be a lot of militia activity as well as your usual brew of white supremicists and religious fundamentalists.

I'm thinking that I haven't heard much about any of these groups lately. Is it because they were stamped out, or pushed off the media radar because of international troubles, or are they lying low because Bush is in office, and would they start appearing in force again if Kerry won?

Curious.
