Hastern Caves In On 9/11 commission

The Hill is reporting Hastert has changed his mind and will allow the extension of the 9/11 commision's deadline (you know, because that's how Bush wanted it (bridge for sale))

I guess they were faced with making it look like Hastert didn't respect the President's wishes or doing what the President wants us to believe he wants.

Josh Marshall had a good post on the dillema of the Admin trying to lay the refusal to extend just on Hastert, focussing on the idea that Bush doesn't understand his general credibility is not what it once [allegedly] was.  He now has a post on the u-turn.
