Odious Ignatius

In another profile in Wapo columnist excellence, David Ignatius reveals new information that blame for "faulty" WMD intel should be placed partly on, yes, the UN weapons inspectors.  

The comments from Iraq's most prominent scientist add a new perspective to the intense debate over Iraq's alleged WMD programs. Jafar, 61, who received his doctorate in physics in Britain in 1965, said his chief complaint concerned the U.N. inspectors, who, he said, "had all the facts but evidently did not present them convincingly enough to the United Nations Security Council."

Yes, if only that perfidious Hans Blix had done more to stop us from leaping into the abyss....
But wait, hasn't Our Dear Leader revealed that Sadam never let inspectors into Iraq?

This all only continues to demonstrate that, while Iraqe may sit on the world's second largest known reserves of petroleum, it also sits on the largest known reserve of cognitive dissonance.
