While the "abortion issue" seems intractable, the solution lies just around the corner, at your friendly neighborhood biotechnology corporation.
For you see, with the tremendous strides we've been making in human genetics these past years, it is only a matter of a little bit of time before we can clone whole human organs. And with that, we can cut the vexing Gordian knot of the abortion issue by simply cloning women's wombs.
Think of it, instead of going to an abortion clinic, an unwilling mother-to-be can simply provide the local organ-farmer a sample of her DNA, and have an extra womb grown for her. Then all that remains is the small matter of removing the blastocyst from its original place and "repotting" it in a brand-spanking new womb.
It is plain to see that under this regime, everyone wins. We will not risk offending God by murdering his little angels; and yet the woman will no longer be forced to bring a child she does not want to term. At the same time, the foetus will grow to term under laboratory supervised conditions, which provide a much safer and consistent environment than any human can.
The only question that remains is what will become of the foetus once it grows into babyhood. Here, it seems to me, the most logical solution would be to give it to the United States military, where it can be raised to fill the ranks of a new, highly trained army. Think of the benefits to our national security. There will be no more Cindy Sheehans. With an army of parentless soldiers, our government will be able to wage unpopular wars and occupations, and sustain much higher rates of attrition without incurring civil unrest than is currently possible with an army of "mother-born" soldiers. We will at long last be able to achieve the kind of permanent, meaningful hedgemony over the world and its natural resources that the Almighty intended when He sent our Pilgrim forefathers westward across the sea.
So take heart, women of America. The Pro-life movement, biotechnology corporations, and the military-industrial complex have always looked out for your best interests; it is only a matter of time before they join together to ensure you do not suffer the inconvenience of raising an unwanted child, while still faithfully fulfilling every iot and tittle of His Word.
