This is my first diary post in Daily Kos. I am writing on behalf of Ned Lamont because I believe that he is a great alternative to what I call politics as usual. It reminds me of that Who song, "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss... We don't get fooled again, no, no NO!"
For too long the rhetoric in campaigns has been the same no matter which side you listen to. Negativity and lies abound. Ned Lamont brings a positive approach with no mud slinging, and stays with the issues of war in Iraq as well as Health Care, Education, and the economy among others.
Joe Lieberman, on the other foot, casts blind accusations and berates Mr. lamont for using his own hard-earned money to finance his run for Senator.
For too long we, and our planet has suffered the ills of war, a ravaged economy, outsourced jobs, and an educational system that has, not only many children and teachers left behind, but working class taxpayers left in the lurch as well. The divide between rich and poor has made us lose all but the little hope left in Pandora's Box; that is if it hasn't been rifled through by Bush-Cheyneymania.
We need new blood in the Senate and Congress. We need people like Ned Lamont to roll up his sleeves and wrestle with pork barrel politics because Joe Lieberman has had three terms to show us that the only things he can do is get way too close with George Bush and the Republicans.
For too long good, hardworking people have been suffering, as well as the good earth we live on. We need a nonviolent spiritual awakening before too much hope runs out. Let's pick one another up now, and begin the mighty change that is needed. The first step is to vote for Ned Lamont. Afterall, he knows that one world is all we have.
