Is there anything stopping John Kerry from announcing, right here and now, that all relevant documentation from the various 9/11 investigations will be declassified if he becomes President? Are there any rules or precedents I'm unaware of that would keep him from doing this?
It seems to me that he might get some real traction from announcing that the Kerry Administration will move quickly to uncover the truth about what happened leading up to that day... and will make it OPEN and TRANSPARENT for the public. No more kvetching about possible perjury in briefings nobody can look at. If Kerry becomes President, we find out what happened. ALL of it.
Is this even possible? And if it is possible, is it even remotely a good idea?
