Is Bush insane?
After watching Meet the Press I believe the following:
- Bush ain't as dumb as we say he is.
- Bush has Cajones at least as big as the ones sticking out of his fake flight suit.
- Bush is an arrogrant SOB
One of these three will be his Shakespearian-like downfall...

1. Bush isn't as dumb as we say he is.
But he isn't smart either. He masterfully (whether prepared ahead of time or not is mostly irrelevant) sidestepped the WMD questions, though he didn't so well with the AWOL or Economy issues. Basically, he prepares well enough so he comes off as seemingly on top of things, but that is his problem. Americans accepted Reagan being a delegator. Bush clearly has taken nearly full responsibility for these "judgement calls". It is all on his head and removing Cheney isn't going to help.
2. Bush has Cajones.
Th fact that he gave some of those answers with a straight face. Problem is, those Cajones are gonne get him in trouble come election time. Like his father, I see no sense of the "moment" or of history- no sense of irony.
3. Bush is an arrogant SOB.
Two responses:
-The laughable "I'm concerned about the man who needs a job" HA! Every person impacted by this economy sees through that one.
-I worked it out with the military. I sure hope the Dems trot out hard-luck story after hard-luck story about how they couldn't "work it out with the military" to end their service early- cause their daddy wasn't chairman of the RNC.
Its pretty clear the strategy will be to say these things with a straight face and hope they go over with the American people and the media. Something's gott give.
