If this has already been covered, I apologize, and would appreciate any pointers to the relevant thread.
I'ts been a tight year in my household, so I've only been able to donate a little money to candidates to date.
This month, though, I got some unexpected bonus dollars and want to put them to the best possible use - - but there are now so many ways to help and candidates to donate to (which is great, btw) I am unsure how best to proceed.
I am not nearly as well informed as most of the regulars on this board. Therefore I wanted to tap the community for advice.
I know this is a piddling amount in the grand scheme of things, but I'd still like to do my best to make it count. If you had $1000 to put to work for Democratic political causes right now, to which campaigns or organizations would you donate? Should I just send it to the Kerry people, or divide up among some of the congressional candidates? Or are there better alternatives altogether?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks!
