EVERYONE:
We may have missed this one, but at 3:00 EST the WhiteHouse will be doing an "Ask the Whitehouse" at whitehouse.gov.
NOTE: In my effort to post quickly I missed the fact this is not to be answered by Bush but by Andrew Natsios, USAID Administrator. So address your question to him, not the President
http://www.whitehouse.gov/ask/question.html
Please put in something short, consise, and as respectful as you can muster (maybe then we'll get one answered).
ASAP!!!
Here's what I wrote:
Mr. President,
We have spent roughly $200 million dollars a day on the Iraq War since it started. I realize you can't wave a magic wand to make money appear for the Tsunami disaster. But, please assure me that you will muster whatever power, clout, and influence you have to *give* at least one week's worth ($1.4billion) of Iraq War money to the Tsunami/Quake relief efforts. Even one day's worth of Iraq War money would probably make a huge difference. Not only to the victim nations, but to the world and US economy.
Thank you,
Joseph Larson
