Poll: We support Bush -- Freep It

The question doesn't get much more basic than this:

Which side do you support?
The Bush supporters 48%
The anti-war protesters 45%
Neither 7%
Total Votes: 170,639

Compared to recent polling I've seen on AOL, the results of this poll are hard to believe.

Of course, the results may be influenced by the accompanying story.  The pro Bush group was described as

a crowd of about 1,500

but at Camp Casey

Several hundred people attended a bell-ringing ceremony

Even in something as inconsequential as a poll, some people gotta back a perceived winner.

Unfortunately, there is no way to get accurate numbers on these two groups.  Reporters mostly get their official numbers from the police <snark>who, as we all know, would have every reason to be fair and balanced in their crowd estimates.</snark>
