Over the past few months I posted two diaries about motivating voters. There was a fair number of responses about what motivates
us.
But it's pretty easy to figure out our motivations.
The question now is what effects change in others; either to motivate a non-voter to vote, or to convert a previous GOP voter to vote Democratic. Is there a key issue? Or are there a series of issues? What's the mix of local and national politics have to do with it?
Part of it is GOTV, but that's more "preaching to the choir". What can we do to get those are already singing our tune to wake up or change their mind?
Hopefully, getting some of these concepts fleshed out and on the ground will help to motivate change.
Everyone should feel free to put in their ideas, and take out what they think will work best for them in their situation as work a phone bank, or walk door-to-door, or write the LTE.
