Ohio State Senator Ray Miller (D) is under investigation for having an assistant work for his private business while on the government's dime. Miller says he wrote a check for $936 to cover the costs of a 40 hour week of the employee, even though he only worked 9 hours. The state had no comment on whether they have received this check. . . .

Miller is on several committees, including Health and Human as the ranking minority member, education and the state controlling board. Should he be indicted, he may be brought before the ethics board, and possibly booted out of the state Senate.
Ohio needs stronger Democrats who steer clear of any possible ethics violations. Right now we need to take back our state and events like this don't help our candidates in future elections.
