For the past week now I've been reading the Huffington Blog and surprised by how little comments are made there versus the vigorous debate and discussion found here on Kos.
Just take a look at contributors like Laurie David, wife of Larry David (Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm) - out here in Los Angeles. It's smart, politically engaged, wealthy women like this that help direct the donations that keep the Democratic party afloat.
Most of us here won't have a chance to attend a $500 a head dinner to raise money for Kerry or Evan Bayh in '08, but we can start commenting on the Huffington blog and let the power brokers of the Democratic party know what we want, and put pressure on the Dem Pols to fight back harder. They may not listen to us, but they will listen to those who control the purse strings.
